Shaun Pettigrew is a versatile freelance cinematographer, director and photographer with over 2 decades making visual emotive imagery and advertising content from around the globe. Based from Brisbane, Australia his clients to date include commissions from; Panadol, Adidas Global, Toyota, Canon Cameras, Caltex Oil, Bank of Japan, Singapore Airlines, Levis Strauss and Kingdom of Tonga Tourism.

He is renowned for his creative eye and attention to detail for both his film and stills work and friendly collaborative approach through out the project’s production process.  He produces world class digital content for film, tv documentary and commercial image capture and  has kept him at the top of his game shooting extensively for many of the world’s leading brands today.

Shaun has two clear instincts for winning a brief, firstly to show it can communicate the client’s idea and secondly that it ties together Shaun’s passion for making beautiful imagery that stands out.

His directorial debut the feature film ‘The Death and Resurrection Show’, a music film about the UK band ‘Killing joke’ has been highly acclaimed through-out the major festivals around the world, invited by the prestigious BFI and Dutch Film Institutes to screen to packed houses. The film was sold to Sundance TV Network for a global distribution deal in 2014.

Awards and recognition for his skills include  Cannes Gold and awards from London & New York Advertising Shows, CCA, Spikes, D&AD, Communication Arts, Luerzer’s International Archive Top 200 Photographers, the Vienna Short Film Festival and the New Zealand International Film Festival.
